About Us | Statement of Philosophy | Mission & Vision | Organizational Value
It is the human service philosophy of Alternative Services that persons with disabilities shall be empowered to live a self-determined life in a community residence with appropriate support services in the least restrictive physical and social environments that differ as little as possible from what is culturally normal.
Individuals shall be treated with dignity and respect and have access to community supports and opportunities that facilitate their personal autonomy, productivity, life skills development, community presence, and well-being appropriate to their circumstances.
Qualified ASI staff shall collaborate with the individual, their family, support team professionals, and natural support network in an annual person-centered habilitation process essential to the development and implementation of a service plan that focuses on the person’s dreams, needs, and valued lifestyle outcome preferences.
